PHOENIX-- The three-time WNBA Champion Phoenix Mercury today introduced the enhancement of WNBA veteran Tully Bevilaqua as an assistant train ahead of the 2023 WNBA season. Bevilaqua signs up with returners Nikki Blue and Cinnamon Lister on head train Vanessa Nygaard's staff. Initially an undrafted freelance from Merredin, Western Australia, Bevilaqua began her WNBA occupation in 1998, playing 14 seasons with the Cleveland Rockers, Portland Fire, Seattle Storm, Indiana Fever and San Antonio Silver Stars. Bevilaqua, who was a teammate of Nygaard's while with Portland, made two WNBA Finals appearances with the Seattle Storm and Indiana Fever and won a champion in 2004. She was the 2007 victor of the WNBA's Kim Perrot Gamesmanship Honor, offered each period to a player that exemplifies the perfects of gamesmanship on the court, consisting of honest actions, fair play and Head Coach Vanessa Nygaard: "We are delighted to include Tully Bevilaqua to our training personnel.
